Yet another week. How is it December already?
The cold hit. Hard. The humidity is the worst part. I had to break out the thermals and the triple layer jacket combo. Still don't regret buying Thermal Garments, take that lady at the distribution center!
In any case, the cold has made working hard. Nobody likes talking to us when it is cold. And they like opening their doors even less.
Øhm..... as far as interesting stories go, I'm drawing a blank. Well I guess we did stopby a lady who told us she was married to Jesus, but her husband answered... I think we may have met Jesus. Still debating the logic behind this one.
This was us at the specialized training thing for the new missionaries.
We've been spending a lot of time going through the stack of area books in the apartment to try and stop by old investigators. Knocking on doors when it's freezing cold and has been dark for 5 hours already never really brings much success. However we have reestablished contact with a few people and so we're going to keep plugging away at that. Other than that though it's really been a normal week. Lots of talking, walking, driving, and laughing. Lots of nej taks, ingen interesse, and confused looks but hey, I live for those =) We're looking forward to Christmas already, and have a count down candle in the shape of a dwarf we named Jens.
Keep a jolly spirit in your stride and remember the light always conquers the dark. The darker your surroundings, the easier your light will be seen. He is our light, and He is our gift to others this Christmas. Husk det!
